The Characters

Luca “Lucky” Kedi

Luca is the kind of person who would rather go into the pitch-black cellar alone at night than have a conversation with a complete stranger.

But as soon as you get to know her, you quickly realize that she is just as direct and quick-witted as her best friend Mike. And like him, she is also very empathetic.

Her hobbies include video games and writing short stories. She has a “book pen pal” called Horatio, with whom she exchanges handwritten notes using books in a public bookcase.

Due to her fear of speaking, she has enormous problems at job interviews and has already applied to every possible and impossible company. So far, unfortunately, without success.

Michael “Mike” Sarkany

Mike is a really cool and funny guy with whom you can experience a lot – if only you could take away his smartphone.

When Mike isn’t addicted to doom scrolling, he likes to theorize about the physical properties of various magical spells for his pen & paper role play game sessions.

He doesn’t mince his words and always says what he thinks straight out. At the same time, he would do anything for his friends, especially Luca, whom he has known since kindergarten and sees as a sister.

Since a night-time incident on a hill, Mike has been stuck in the shape of a small plush dragon.

All in all, not really a problem for Mike – if it weren’t for the fact that all electronic devices stop working now as soon as he gets too close to them.

Horatio

Horatio lives alone in a wooden hut in the dense forest and likes to spend his time reading old fairy tale books and tending his garden. He also loves writing short stories, which he exchanges with the help of a book in a public bookcase with Luca, whose writing skills he greatly admires.

Horatio loves to make theatrical speeches with an old-fashioned way of speaking. He also often seems naïve and a little out of touch; he seems to be hiding something, but it is unclear what.

Baxter Cordero

Baxter is a private detective and also a father-to-be. As he wants to be a good role model for his soon-to-be daughter, he does his best to be as law-abiding as possible, which often leads to absurd situations.

He is a very level-headed man with a surprisingly deep voice who is very perceptive. He also likes to collect worry stones.

While on his way to see his wife, Baxter was transformed into a sheep-like plush creature by a pebble he had recently picked up and later joined Luca’s group to find a cure.
